Mosh’s Monday Musings

  • The NHL season is less than two weeks old and already we can crown the Oilers as Stanley Cup Champs. Actually, that’s probably something a certain radio personality in town would say, and his name rhymes with Arid Dillman. But let’s really look at what we’ve learned thus far…
  • This Pernell Karl guy in town is pretty good. Five points in five games to start off his career in Smashville. But I think we’re on to something with splitting up Josi and Subban
  • Never trust the water (or whatever they made that soup out of) in Detroit.
  • Juuse Saros reminds me a lot of Jonathan Quick. He’s on the team full-time next season as possibly your starting goalie. While you’re at it coach, please make sure you keep up this precedent of Rinne getting plenty of rest throughout the season
  • Who saw Ribeiro scoring more goals than Neal, Johansen and Forsberg combined at this point… anyone?…
  • I was disappointed Saturday.. Thought we may get Fiala or Arvidsson a hat trick just to see that ‘Rinne Wall’ headgear on the ice again
  • Preds have given up the first goal in every game so far. Might wanna think about getting outta the blocks earlier boys
  • Chicago…. Enjoy the Cubs in the World Series… leave the penalty kill alone, it’s working just fine
  • Pump the brakes on Edmonton guys.. 4 of their 5 wins have come against Calgary, Carolina and Winnipeg.
  • Unless the Kings pick up a decent netminder, they may deteriorate into what Montreal was last season without Price
  • Winnipeg….. Thanks for the reminder that the sun is bright
