The Nashville Predators went into St. Louis for a Saturday night showdown against the Blues a top team in the central division.  The pending question of could the surprising Preds beat a top team like the big bad Blues on the road.

The Preds did just that in two periods of dominating hockey. The Preds dominated the 2nd and 3rd period outlasting the Blues for a 2-1 win and ending the Blues 7 game winning streak.

If anyone had any questions about if the Preds are for real, I believe tonight should of answered that.  The Preds closed out a 6 game road trip with a record of 4-2.

Peka Rinne was outstanding with 28 saves only giving up a rebound goal to Jori Lehtera in the first period.

Preds goal scorers Filip Forsberg and James Neal.  Both ended the night with a goal and an assist.

Preds defense was outstanding and continues to improve even with a top pairing D man being suspended. Bartley is fitting right in amd played a physical game against some big forwards for the Blues. Josi with a super nice assist on the Forsberg goal. Josi has some of the best vision on the team imo.

The Preds take over first place in the Central Division and will finally come home Tuesday night to face the Edmonton Oilers.
