Preds Get Back To Predator Hockey

By @Top6Grinder

The Nashville Predators came back home after a road trip to forget to face off against a central division cellar team in the Colorado Avalanche.

What a difference a few days make as the Preds came out and dominated for three periods. The team looked the 1st place Predators and unleashed their will on the Avs.

Speaking of unleashing, Captain Shea Weber showed his displeasure of someone taking a big shot at his partner Josi and ended up in the box for over seventeen minutes. Luckily for Landeskog his bucket stayed in for the majority of Webers blows.

I doubt you will see other guys who are in the running for the Norris eager to do what Weber did. Cough cough … Erik Karlsson..

Calle Jarnkrok responded to sitting out a game and looked really solid. I was unsure about his speed, but he has another gear which he showed on his breakaway goal.

So when does Cullen get to sit to maybe get him going?

The Preds held the Avs to 20 shots which was similar to the Buffalo game where they only allowed 17. That is nice to see after allowing 33 to the Flyers and 40 to the Islanders recently.

The Preds ended the night winners 5-2 over the Avs.

Game Notes:

-Smith has 5 goal and 2 assists in the last 6 games.

-Jarnkrok with his first goal in 19 games.

-Preds are 25-6-2 when out shooting opponents this year.

The Preds take on the recently hot Minnesota Wild on Thursday which should be a good test and plenty of boos for Ryan Suter.
