Preds look to Stay Alive…
The Nashville Predators will look to stay alive trailing 3 games to 1 in their best of seven Western Conference Semi Final Series against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight at Jobbing.com Arena. The Preds will attempt to become the 21st team in playoff history to come back from a 3-1 deficit.
All players are available for tonight & according to Head Coach Barry Trotz after practice on Sunday, both Alexander Radulov & Andrei Kostitsyn will be in for game 5. Also, coming out of practice, were a host of new line combinations that could lead to a much different line up as Nashville is in desperation mode & just trying to force a game 6 back at Bridgestone Arena.
The Preds have never been eliminated on the road in the playoffs & down 3-1 last year against Vancouver; they were able to extend the series before losing in game 6. Coyotes D Rostislav Klesla will be suspended for game 5 due to a boarding incident against Preds F Matt Halischuk & while he is not on the top defensive pair for Phoenix, he has contributed with 2 points & some very solid play in the series.
It is desperation time for the Preds who have higher expectations than winning only 5 playoff games & this would not be the first time this team has managed to win 3 games in a row (just did it in 1st round). All clichés apply so no need to type any more of them out. Puck drop is set for 9 CT on NBC Sports Network (beware NYR/Was OT).
All players are listed as healthy.
