The Nashville Predators begin a 3 game home stand at Bridgestone Arena tonight vs LA Kings. This will be the third of four matchups between the teams & second in a week. The Preds defeated LA 3-1 8 days ago at Bridgestone Arena behind a 30 save performance by G Pekka Rinne & a strong game by C David Legwand, who was 1st star with 2 assists.

The season series between the teams sit at 1-1 & will wrap up on 3/17 in LA. Head Coach Barry Trotz was unhappy with the overall effort the last time these teams met & with the new acquisitions having a few practices; the team should be expected to start faster & stronger. The Kings have also had a couple games to work in Jeff Carter, but the offense continues to be an enigma.

This game will be a fast paced one with two of the best goalies in the league this season going up against one another in Rinne & Quick. This should be a low scoring but entertaining game. The Preds will then host Colorado on Thurs before a huge divisional game against Detroit on Sat.

D Kevin Klein has missed the last 3 games & is expected to be questionable for the games later this week due to an upper body injury. D Shea Weber was hit hard & appeared slow to get up during the game last Sat, but returned, finished the game, & practiced on Monday. Sergei Kostitsyn had a maintenance day and is expected to be in the lineup tonight.
