Smith, Preds dominate Oil
By Josh @Top6Grinder
The Nashville Predators well rested after a few days off went into Edmonton last night and earned a nice 4-1 win that snapped the Oilers excitement over a recent winning streak.
Veteran Matt Cullen returned to the ice and made his presence well known. The Cullen/Roy/Smith line was unreal last night. Clearly the best line on the ice and I hope that is a preview of good things to come. Cullen and Smith worked well together last year. With the addition of Roy it could make the duo into a nice trio.
Cullen-shot of post/1A/+/- 1/15:18 toi/2nd Star.
Roy- 1A/+/- 1 / 16:23tio.
Smith 2G/+/- 1/ 15:04tio.
Craig Smith should of had 3 goals but was victim to a judgement call very early in the 1st period. You will see the same goal count 100′s of times this year.
The defense was solid. Weber and Josi with big games as usual. Weber with a goal and 25:45tio. Josi with 2 assists and 25:50tio.
Only goal allowed was on a rebound that went straight to Taylor Hall stick in the middle of the 3rd period.
I wanted to see the Predators rebound after a loss and they did just that. They needed that win after a home loss and to start a long road trip on right skate. The Predators head to Calgary for another late night tip off on Halloween night.
