WCQF Game 2 Preview…

The Nashville Predators look to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Quarter Finals over Detroit tonight at 6:30 in Bridgestone Arena. The Preds defeated the Red Wings 3-2 on Wednesday in Game 1 behind a stellar performance by Goalie Pekka Rinne.
The Wings look to earn a split & recapture home ice advantage tonight after outplaying the Preds in Game 1. Preds D Shea Weber was not suspended for the incident at the end of game 1 and will be leading his team on the ice tonight without $2500 in his bank account (1st time offender fine). Look for another tough matchup that will be more physical now that the series has truly started.
The Preds need more production out of top 2 lines if they hope to continue winning in the playoffs, but with depth scoring at least they will have a chance. The series will be a rollercoaster, & hopefully the Preds will be able to come out on the high end headinfg into Detroit for a Sun morning Game 3 (11 AM CT).
Injury update:
D Hal Gill missed game 1 Vs Detroit (did not practice on Thurs) & is listed as day to day after being hit in the foot with a shot before the end of the regular season.
